The kinematics in the EMC are derrived from a matrix file that is machine
specific. It describes in angles and distances the relationship between
each pair of axes. It is not all that difficult to figure out values
for. You can also get help on this from the emc list.
As for constant velocity, Till reports that the EMC is just as good or
better running a servo hexapod as some commercial software that he has
tested it against. You can see his mini hexapods at

If you are a bit rusty at German there is an english map on the bottom
left that may help a bit with the menus.
