For a PC controller for 5/6 axis work, try Art Fenerty's Mach1. Runs
under Win2K/WinXP for now, and in alpha stage of development, but
will cut from G-code, control spindle, home position, limit switches
as it is right now. So far performance has not been a problem - in
fact it far exceeds my previous results with EMC and Master5 (Art's
current package for Win9X). I will be using this for my 5 axis
GEM500G. Right now it is running X,Y on the mill, and waiting for Z
to be assembled. During winter I will have the 4/5 axis trunnion
made and trialed. My goal is decorative sculpting also.
