Thanks to Dan and everyone else for answering my questions about the RF-45, I think it makes sense to take the extra step to go to a z axis ball screw and deal with the power off consideration this beings into play.
The only other thing is to ask Dan to post some more photos to the drop box when he gets time 8>).
