Hi Forum
After reading valuable suggestions. I checked my
system
The power source to the encoders fed from STG-II seems
OK since there is no voltage drop (it was found 4.9V).
Now when I switched off power to my DC Drives and ran
dc-motors by hand, all those counter stuck problems
were gone. and I could see the counters running back
and forth without any trouble...
Since in our system encoder signals are straight (NO
DIFFERENTIAL)
I with the valuable information by the forum members
concluded the problem is related with NOISE. Now I am
going to convert the encoders signals to differential
mode signals using IC 75174.
I will let you all know about the progress of our EMC
system when we finish doing this work.
Thanks and best regards
Asim & Ubaid
PS: STG-II use the same chip 7166, which was used in
STG-I
