Hi,
Some what related (tongue in cheek), I had a circuit several years ago that
was rated at 5V. Now normally, there is supposed to be a tolerance on the
voltage of +/- X Volts (10% rings a bell in my ancient, feeble brain); but
to make a long story short, this one chip WOULD NOT WORK at less than 5.00
Volts! It might be possible that yes, the noise is a problem, but it is
because the chip isn't following the industry norms and REALLY needs that
extra 0.1 volts to work.
Just a thought for you to try.
