A 24 Ohm 25 Watt resistor across the power supply output terminals
will draw 1 Amp. You can go lower in resistance value, it will just
draw more current. Wattage is (V^2)/R. You will end up with a
50 W resistor below 24 Ohm. A 25 Ohm value might be easier to
find, it draws awfully close to 1 Amp.
