Well, All Said and Done, I ordered all the parts for the Power Supply.
DIGIKEY had 2 10,000 100V Caps for $28.00 each and 3 Zener Diodes 5W,
82V $1.20 each (Figure keep 2 spares). Plitron was the source for the
Transformer $67.00 for a 750VA 50V unit. Bridge Rectifier was $2.50
on Ebay. It was a 1400v 35 Amp unit.
Total cost for the P.S. not including the enclosure is about $140,
which is less than what I was expecting. I'm sure after all is said
and done I will be just under $200 for a 15 Amp 70 VDC Power Supply.
After looking in my Bridgeport it was quite obvious that I already
had all the parts I needed for a good Powersupply but the stuff is
huge. Geckos should be here tomorrow and I get to begin wiring
finally!
Quick Guestimate at the total retrofit cost to date:
$200 Power Supply
$375 Stepper Motor Drivers
$30 Linux EMC
$250 BobCad/CAM 18
$200 Old 400 MHz PC
$200 Stepper Motor Controller from Pico-Systems
-----
$1255.00
Wow, I spent that much and I have not even thrown a chip yet! Did not
quite realize that till I added it up.
