How are you measuring the 1.001" of travel? There are many ways to do this,
and some of them are prone to causing errors. Also, is it a consistent 0.1%
error over the entire leadscrew? If so, then it is most likely not
leadscrew inaccuracy. DO not take this last comment as offensive, but if
you need greater than 0.1% accuracy, you may need a better machine. What
types of parts are you making?
