I have my eyes on a set of Super Vexta drivers and vexta PH599H-A steppers that are going cheep. Could you guide me on their performance and which software are you using to drive them. These are 0.72 degrees and 2.4A Nema 32 motors. I couldn't find the specs of the motors on the web. Oriental motors web site doesn't seem to have these numbers. Is there any other place should I look in.

These are old motors and drives. Some Super Vexta drives take CW/CCW
pulses only.
I have a UDX5128NA drive that can be selected for CW/CCW or
step/direction mode.
I don't have any specs on the motors, but they are not really comparable
to 2-phase
motors, anyway. The falloff of torque with speed is so severe with most
2-phase
motors that motors with outrageous holding torques are specified to get
acceptable
running torque. That is not necessary with 5-phase motors, as the
torque falloff
is a much more gradual slope.
