Mark,

You are correct. 22K will set the drive to 2.25A which is what you
want to run them at in series. Make sure to follow the mfg's wiring
instructions and insulate the 2 series connections.

If you are running 3 of these motors, the maximum current draw from
the supply will be 4.5A (3 times 4.5A / 3 for series wired). Using
80,000 times 4.5A / 48V yields 7,500uF. Go with anything between that
and 15,000uF. At 48VDC, use a 63V or greater rated capacitor.

If you don't have the cap, take a look at Digikey part number P6495-
ND for a 10,000uF 63VDC part for $7.78 and GBPC1502DI-ND 15A 200V
bridge rectifier for $2.76. www.digikey.com
