I have just converted my mill to cnc about 5 months ago and Im using
Gecko G201's.One of which is an older model.....G201a, and is pretty
obsolete.the other 2 are newer revisions.
I was curious if I can use a parallel port ground pin for the +5Vdc
on the drives, instead of getting +5Vdc from a molex from the Power
supply on the PC?
I just want to try to avoid blowing out another opto on 2 drives
like I did a few months back. Im not exactly sure if thats what
caused it, but Id like to be sure that it wont be the cause if it
happens again.
Thanks,
John Moto
