Hi Bob;

This probably isn't what you're thinking of, but you could spray on thick
layers of whatever colors you want to use, and then machine off the layers
you don't want, to reach color(X). You'd need to use a fast drying paint,
otherwise you'd be gumming up your tools pretty quickly.
