If you can not find a +5 volt source inside the from (and I would be
willing to bet there is one there) you can use an external +5v source
and connect the ground from it to the Frog ground.

I have API CMD-260 drives and have never used anything but the +5V opto
in, step, CW/CCW (dir) connection to them. I have not needed any
additional connections for the logic.
