I wish I could work at my job with such a smart and helpful
bunch of guys as yourselves :)
I agree that misters are really handy in so much as
they use small amounts of coolant, and you can see more of
what is going on at the point of contact with the tool and workpiece.
I will be using it in a large shop area so air purity is
not so much of a worry. All the misters I have seen use
water soluable coolant. Water soluable coolant has
been causing me problems with surface rust on the machine so
I may just be using it for an air blast to evacuate chips, and
then add cutting oil by hand. In that case a simple adjustable
air nozzle would be easy.
In any case I will have a whole farm full of junk aka "treasure"
to parse this weekend and come up with something that works!
