For those who may be faced with purchasing an expensive license, this may
a good time to switch to Dolphin or Vector, both of which have a
reputation for excellence in software and support. Both have very
attractive offers for members of this list.

I received my notice this morning. It came from Surfcam and the special
deal is save $1000. The quoted price for the basic 21/2D system was
still over $3400. The sales pitch was that they would throw in the
first year maintenance of $1400 for free. I doubt they have many takers
with the deals that are out there.
