P.S. I saw all the high tech materials mantioned, and I'm sure they'd
do a fine job. But depending on the level of reduction you're looking
for, and the time and money you want to invest... Sand is gonna get
you most of the way to where you wanna be. Allow for filling holes in
your design which can be topped up as the vibration of the tool
settles the sand. Woodworkers and wanna-be Holographers have been
using sand to reduce vibrations significantly for quite awhile now.

And its "reversible", as long as you plan for that possibility...
