Adding a 0.027 Ohm resistor in the Ground return of the 36V, I measured 40mV across the resistor when the Gecko is driving
the motor. The current waveform corresponds to the driving frequency 10:1
Using Ohm's law 0.04/0.027 = 1.48 Amp The clamp on Amp Meter reads 1 Amp which is about what I
would expect when the switched current is 1.5 Amps.
As I feel confident the scope and resistor trick is giving me a real reading I can now understand why
the PACSI motor is a wimp ! because it is not being driven with 5 Amps !
This brings me to the question What am I doing wrong !
