Hi,
This post is aimed at Mariss but anyone else who can answer is free to jump
in.
I have a Harrison 280 CNC/Trainer Lathe with a blown Z amp. The motor is a
four wire stepper and the board connections are motor clock, motor
direction, +85 volts DC @ 10 amps, +24 volts DC, 0 volts and Drive Enable.
The problem is that the drive is blowing the 2 amp fuse on the +24 volts
when the machine is powered up. When the X amp is plugged in nothing blows
so I assume that is ok.
I cannot identify any of the components on the board except the logic even
with the help of the internet and a circuit diagram is out of the question
because I don't know the board manufacturer.
Is it possible to use one of you Gecko stepper drives to replace it with out
pulling the whole machine apart and starting again?
Regards,
Terry
