Hi Mariss,
Surely this isn't the extent of your reply, what about possible solutions.
Could the voltage be dropped to make it feasible to use a Gecko. As far as I
can work out the 24 volt DC line is to feed the logic and is regulated on
the driver board, it also feeds other parts of the machine.
