It seems to me that the term postprocessor can refer to many specific
things. The way we use it currently would be defined as: adjusting the
syntax and formatting of the G-code for a specific controller. My
understanding of this is in the past it was a separate program that you
ran your g-code through. For the most part it is not a separate program
any more, but a setting in the CAM program. So what you need to do is
adjust the CAM program you are using to output the proper format of
G-code for EMC. I use Vector which has a specific setting for EMC and I
also use Visual Mill which seems to work fine using the generic setting.
I also have tried the output from DeskCNC and the default settings seem
to work fine for EMC.
