My solution is to mount E-stop switches at the doorway and in every
other room in the shop.
This way you can also hit the switch if I hear strange noises from
another room or as you duck out.
As for the tendancy to "run from the room" I have the opposite
problem, diving onto the table to save my cutter or that expensive
hunk of brass before I even think of pressing the E-stop.
Almost lost a few fingers that way last summer. :<
But I did save the $2000 injection mold insert. :)
