sounds like they need connecting together - DON'T !!!!! the psu will
turn itself fully on as it 'sees' 0v on its feedback and may even
destroy itself.
+s & -s are the 'sense' connections - ie where the psu references its
output so if you are running long leads to a remote load, typically
you will have the sense connections made at the far end by lighter
gauge leads so that the correct votage is maintained at the load
despite voltage drop down the load cables.
