At least at a small shop, you might succeed by offering them more money than
they get returning them. There is half a chance the person you talk to actually
might have some decision-making authority and might know how much they get for
them!

I didn't go to smaller stores, Wal-Mart seemed like the best shot,
but alas, no go.
