John,
A question on the "Divisionmaster".....I see that it has a signal
back to CNC machines or whatever triggered it to indicate it has
completed it's move. Can the completion signal be sent prior to
move so the unit can be used for milling a helix?
I have a Haas 5C indexer which can be set to send the signal after
move for a simple index or before so the CNC and the indexer can be
moved simultaneously. Actually it takes a little trial and error
with dwell times and feedrates in the CNC control to get the
movements synchronized.
If the unit can be used for milling as above, do you know what the
maximum angular move is? Most of the programable units like Haas
have a limit of 1000 degrees per move which makes milling a helix of
three or more turns impossible.
thanks,
Doug
