I posted how to test the voltage of your transformer, you can use a
simple AC wall wart if you want, they are often current limited.

once you know the inputs and outputs, you can determine if you can
use it.

If in your searching, you find some mathematical model for core area
vs watts, let us know.

regarding posting speed, check the website for times the posts made
it to the board. it may be that yahoo is delaying your e-mails?
