Hi Jim,

What I was trying to say is that the CD is powered up, implying the
CD is connected properly, as I could slide the drawer open and put
the CD into the tray. The computer I think was used as a print server
(whatever that means) as before I could get to the C: prompt, I had
to issue an UNLOAD followed by an EXIT command.

I think "no logical drive for CD drive" would correctly describe the
situation, though I am not 100% sure as I am a bit of a DOS dummy.
