Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Rutex servo drives

Hi Chris,

I've bought twice from Rutex and used the EMS courier option for
shipping both times - after paying via Paypal. I ordered on a Friday,
and they arrived at my house in Toronto 4 (working) days later, the
following Thursday. The bill for customs (tax) arrived about a month
later. I was extremely happy with the performance of the R990's but
recently upgraded them to R990H's because I couldn't stand the PWM
squeal. The new drives only just came out and they're excellent - but I
couldn't get the calibration software to work with the 1K resistor
mentioned in one of the on-line files. An earlier note from Vlad
suggested 100 ohms - which worked perfectly for me but I think he is
still investigating this issue.

Email questions can be a little slow, but he usually gets back to you
eventually. If you're concerned, give him a call - Australia is only
10c per minute on many long distance plans - just check the time zone,
based on where you are. From Toronto, Sydney is 14 hours ahead while
we're on daylight saving. A call will (hopefully) put your mind at ease.

Cheers, Peter
