That sounds a lot like the pet-hair-remover rollers that they
junk-advertise on TV. Frictional when dry (sticks to the cupboard door)
but run water on it and all the hair runs right down the drain(!) Can't be
very expensive stuff, but does sound like some silicone rubber sheet I've
met...There's a chemist at work I can ask about the concept.
