Hi guys;
It would be pretty finicky to set up, but you could use two encoders, one ever
so sligthy offset from the other, and held in place with set screws or an
adjustable screw. With the proper additional circuitry, this would double your
resolution. Quit a while back, someone posted such circuitry, but it's been so
long, I can't recall who it was. If memory serves, it involves one or two 4
gate TTL or CMOS chips. I think they were Exclusive Nor chips, but don't quite
me on that. I had a pic of it, but I'm not sure if I still do, as I've had a
crash or two since then. I'll see if I can find it, unless someone beats me to
it.
