Dan ran an announcement today on some very exciting products that are in the
works, please compare that to the stepper motors for sale posting.
Yes, almost everyone on the list knows that Dan sells his products. The big
difference in the two posting is the fact that Dan did not offer to sell on
the list, and each is going to have to follow up on his own,
I realize that some are interested in the large steppers for sale, and have
no problem with mentioning them on the list, but where do we set the
guidelines? Do we have dealers running there catalog pages on the list in
the future, or a short mention of a new product and nothing more?
I am not trying to be a dictator in any fashion, but my opinion is that a
product announcement like Dan's posting is acceptable, as long as he conducts
his business off the list. (Sorry about using you as an example Dan.)
We have 471 members on the list today, in a little over 10 months.
