I was just reminded of Mariss' formula for calculating the size of a
filter-cap for stepper-PSU:

He does it this way C = 80000 * I Where C is in µF, I in
E amps; and E in
volts DC.

That'd give you nearly twice the 1000 µF I suggested at first. Some may
consider 18,750 µF for 11.25 amps excessive; some perhaps not. Capacitors are
cheap. It shouldn't bankrupt you to use 2K per amp!
