Half of a coil is one wire.
since steppers are rated on one coil and drives can only use one coil
at a time, the references should be for one coil, or 2 coils wired in
series or 2 coils wired in parallel.

only 8 wire motors can be wired in parallel, so 6 wire steppers
cannot be wired in parallel.

small points, but accuracy does blow away the confusion.
