paralle cable lenght

Hi all,

I want to move my driver/power supply box closer to my table and am
not sure if I am better off putting the enclosure and PC nect to each
other and having the mouse, keyboard and monitor remote (about 10
feet) or to have the PC remote and running a 10 foot cable.

there is no chip or dust problem so it is all in the wires.

any reason why a 10 foot parallel cable might be a problem ?
I've done it before with the keyboard and monitor so I know that
works at 10 feet.
