No problem there.

I have long since passed the idea that I can save $2.00 with only a
few hours of my own time. There are lots of cable suppliers these
days and a 12 ft parallel cable is not expensive.

I did run 50 foot cables in the office years ago for a automatic
printer switch so everybody could use one printer. didn't have any
problems until win98 and then win98 had the hp jetdirect for network
cards so that went away.
