I've done this to my previous shop before and I plan to do it again. This
works while your working inside and is dirt cheap to put together.
Of course I live in California but sometimes the weather is above 100f and
much hotter in the shop.
Hang the Cheapest 12" Tin Ducting you can possibly get and create about
three large ports at attic level. If you have an open celling like I do
thats where all the heat is coming from. (of course...) Get the largest
Squirel Cage fan you can find. Usually large 110v ones for free are all
around.. Plumb it in reverse so its sucking air out and not only do you
stay cooler, (Shade heat) you also wont suffer too much airborn Particles
from your latest Aspestos Milling project.. :)
Oh, and if you dont like your neighbor I have some more modifications you
can do...
In ten minutes my shop was about 20 degrees cooler and was cheap enough to
run all day long.
