Luis:
In industrial CNC applications, the electronics are cooled via, heat
exchangers, actualy cabinet air conditioners and compressed air cooling systems based
on a vortex principle. The factories in which the equipment is located are
RARELY air conditioned although many are well insulated. The heat issue is a
real one and it can cause failure of the equipment, especially if the components
used are not military or industrial grade. I don't know what to tell you
regarding the cooling of your garage other than good insulation and possibly one
of the portable air conditioning units you can get from somewhere like Home
Depot. If the humidity isn't too bad where you are located a "swamp cooler"
(evaporative cooling unite) might also work well and is much less expensive.
Regarding your CNC, I would recommend you install some type of cooling system
on the cabinet. If your shop is as hot as indicated a simple heat exchanger
won't work, you would need either a true cabinet air conditioner or a vortex
cooler. The down side to the vortex coolers is that they use a LOT of
compressed air to operate. You might want to check out this web site ITW Vortec -
Vortex tubes, Cold Air Guns, and other Compressed Air Solutions for Industrial
Cooling, Cleaning and Conveying they may have something which will help.
