Relay to operate soliniod or other idea?

I am using Yeager CNCPRO to contol an X Y table. Can someone suggest
the solution to trigger an electric solinoid (12 or 24 volt) switch
for an air ram?
The table will move 50 mm then stops and the ram activates, this
process goes for 30 times and then back to the start.
If a relay is used what type is needed to suit and how is it wired
into the system?
If someone out there has a better idea, I would like to know there
thoughts.
