You guys (and gals?) are great, thanks for all the responses. Regarding the
universal mill head, I lucked out and located a brand new, 1945 era set of
accessories for my Van Norman 12 mill, including a slotter, a boring head,
and yes, a universal head too. At any rate, I had assumed I could use that
to work manually on this particular type application, I was just wondering
if I was missing something else which would allow automation of the process.
Maybe I could modify a toolpath in a 45 degree setup in each of (4) separate
directions? I have no experience yet with G-codes, is that what the
particular G-code recently mentioned sets up for?
