this turned into a "I am selling thread" so I am ending it here. reading the rules It sounds like it is OK to post as long as the replys are off board.
So here it is
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2548186898&category=25276
I am selling these motors as I have extra. I don't know how many more I will sell and it really depends on how much I get for these as to if I am going to keep the rest for my own projects. (have to support my cnc addiction)
Here of some videos of 2 of the same motors hooked up to some parker drives running turbocnc. It was quite fun to play with. it was flattening the arcs at the quadrants because I had almost .020 of backlash. I put backlash comp into turbocnc and the circle where instantly round. It was neat watching turbocnc take the backlash out at each change in direction. cool.
The videos are almost the same. It is a small drill press milling circles in some polycarb with and 1/8 inch cutter. Some are milling faster than others.

They should work pretty good but you might still want to download them to play them. or play it twice though your player as the first time might be choppy
you can ask questions though ebay or samco@...
thank you

The main reason I did it was to make the videos. They where taken on an old sony digital camera. I am selling the extra motors on ebay and thought a visual might help. It is fun playing with it though. The plan is to make a bigger gantry style mill to play around with. I was running it back and forth at 100 ipm just goofing around. Thats as high as I have tried. The vise is all I have right now that was easy to retrofit. Nice half a day project. The couplings between motor and the lead screws is 3/8 air line and hose clamps. The adaptors are 4X4 mechanical tubing.

They are crappy videos. It is a 1/8 inch mill cutting circles in
piece of plastic. I probably have around .020 in backlash. This
was just an experiment to play with. It has about 5X3 inches of
travel. You might want to right click and download to your computer.
if not you might have to play the video twice in the player as it
might be choppy the first time.
