Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Quadrature for DIY DRO

I just used encoders and strips from EncoderTech (www.encodertech.com) as
direct replacements for US Digital encoders & strips in the Art Eckstein DRO
plans. They produce the same 5v quadrature pattern as the US Digital ones,
with almost double the resolution (they make a 25 cycles per millimeter
strip, which translates to 635 complete cycles per inch, or 0.00039"
resolution vs the US digital's 360 cycles per inch and 0.0007" resolution,
they also make a 720 cycles per inch strip, but at a max length of like
3.25", so its not really useful).

Their strips and encoders are more expensive, I spent $109 for a 25cpi 9"
strip and encoder, when US digital would have been more like $50 for the
same size at a lower resolution, but I considered it to be worth the price.

They have PDF spec sheets on their website for the encoder detailing the
wave form if you need it.
