Jeff,
I looked at your photos... Nice work. I can't quite read the diagram.
The photo is small and if I enlarge it the print detail goes. My first
question in this e-stop question is what is the best way to shut off
power. I can imagine having relays on the ac to the breakout board and
the dc power in and cutting both with the "big red mushroom". It would
be good to tell the software what has occured, though maybe not
nessasary(this is an emergency). Will this hurt the drives? Marris
has a file that cuts off the AC to the power supply then dumps the
capacitor( this is in the files section of cced, DC brush servodrive
E-stop). Is this the best way or can I use a switch(contactor) at the
dc input. I may use a 220 VAC power supply. It seems to me that Marris
suggested shuting off the ac then the dc ...can I shut off both at
once without harming the geckos. There haas been much disscussion
about e-stop but not much practical information.
Thanks
Mike Bush
