EDM Rotation speed

Hi all,

I'm laying out the parts to spin the electrode and was wondering what
speed ?

I have a neat little gear motor from an old fax with gearing so I can
set it up for 4 rpm, 2 rpm or 1/2 rpm. I have a dremel like tool, so
I can get 30,000 RPM. seems like a pretty big gap in between !

I guess I could do a stepper and dial in any speed, or a small DC
motor....

It's nice to have options.
