Jon,
BSA's primary market is motion control, while Rotons is power
transmission. Which would account for the difference, IMO.
FWIW, BSA used to select single turcite nuts for me with less
than .002 backlash to go with my acme rod orders. Barely any upcharge
at all.(before they became Danaher-d <grrr> I think maybe troll and I
are on the same wavelength in this regard) Another nicely -
run "family business" assimilated. Resistance is futile... <G>
