Dean uses just an hex inverter... the IC itself is CD4069UBCN.
I believe it's only for driving only 5 inputs. Pins 10-15. So only 5 of
the 6 inverter circuits are being used.

Does Dean's breakout board use some kind of buffer chip on the 8 data
lines from the parallel port? If yes, which chip?
