I have BobCad 16 for Wire EDM, all the problems listed below are problems I
have experienced at one time or another. Although I was finally able to use
the software, it just wasn't as easy as they made it sound.

There are BobCAD users on the list. Generally it is considered inferior
to Vector or Dolphin which you can get for about the same price. From
what I have read, the main complaints are bugs that do not get resolved,
major league pushy sales people, promised upgrades that take very
extended times to deliver. I am personally a Vector, DeskCNC, and a
Visual Mill user. My suggestions is to look at DeskCNC, Vector, or
Dolphin. DeskCNC is $300 and with an optional controller card it is both
a CAM solution and a machine controller. Vector and Dolphin both have
list specials that make they about the price you are being quotes on
BobCAD.
