I have badcad version 17 the price seemed right and from people i had contacted sounded like a good choice. My problem is the sales staff very pushy and annoying. Also the help files piss me off. The help file explains step by step how to do an operation on a selected bodcad file, well the bodcad file does not exist. So you can't follow the help file to train yourself. IN my opinion don't by bodcad unless you are ready to run because you get 30 days of free support, wait till you have backload so you can nail those fuckers all damn day.

You may want to wait for VisualMill basic 5.0 which should be out soon.
MecSoft will have a trial version that you will be able to download.

For Cad, you may want to try Rhino 3D.
