Don,
The motor should work fine with Gecko 320's. Its about the size of my
XY and Z axis motors now and they are fine with Geckos. Recommend
encoder from www.usdigital.com. I ordered encoder part E3-500-625-HT
($67), connector CON-LC5 ($3), alignment tool CTOOL-625 ($10) (you
may want a different count). I am using a similar shaft encoder from
them right now.

This works out to about $110-120 per servo motor with shipping which
seems a pretty good price for this sized motor. This motor is way to
big for small machines.

Disclaimer: Your milage may vary. I haven't hooked mine up yet so at
this point its still theory. However, I did order 2 more this morning
for my next project.

PS. Check out Mach2 on www.artofcnc.ca. They have a downloadable
manual and demo software that may fill in some of the gaps for you.
