I had a cheap laminate router (actually now that I think about it, it was
$80.00 from sears, looked to be a rebranded Riobi) Anyway, the bearings held
up fine, but they were mounted in a plastic case. After running it for hours
on end, the plastic bearing mounts get loose causing all kinds of slop in
the spindle. Bearings get warm, plastic gets soft. They are made to run for
2 minutes at a time, not 2 hours. Look for one with a metal case to avoid
this problem.
