Exactly, there are more than a few hobbiest who do wood or PCB's or
plastics and such.

also doing jewelry often uses wax to make the molds. I couldn't
imagine the need or want to tie up floor space to have a mill making
wedding rings.

There are more than a few people who CNC the 7x mini-lathes and don't
need or want more.
