I'm not sure about the tool path control of which you speak.

I have heard about (THC) torch height control and the interconnection
of the THC controls the feed rate.

I'm not sure of all the requirements, but one has to pierce before
cutting so that is one requirement, and then if something changes,
there is another requirement to slow or speed up to get the best rate
of cut.

I guess what I'm saying is that it seems that some of this is sensors
and some if software.
